The population of Osona has to breathe pollution that it does not generate. The emissions come from the metropolitan area of Barcelona. Citizens measure the concentrations of this contaminant with CAPTOR, a European citizen science project implemented in Spain, Italy and Austria.

The Austrian newspaper “Die Presse” recently released an article about how to attract children and teenagers to science. CAPTOR was mentioned as a good example of providing hands-on experiences in dedicated school workshops. Pupils should get the opportunity to explore for themselves.
