The Natural History museum of Vienna provided a stand for the Global 2000 and ZSI teams where they could present the Captor device and facts about ground level ozone. Most people were very interested and often asked a lot of very specific questions:
How is ground level ozone affected by humidity? How exactly does this pollutant harm? Why don’t we get any information on high ozone levels even it is so harmful?
Furthermore we wanted to evaluate awareness raising. For this purpose we hanged a poster with some questions and everybody could share his/her opinion about this topic. To express the citizen science aspect of the project, we provided a detailed construction manual. Presenting the AirAct App on our laptop we could observe increasing ozone levels in Spain (marked in red) whereas the levels in Austria are still low (marked in green).
