Climate change and air pollution: a common challenge

The First Catalan Conference on Environmental Law was held during the days 17,18,19 of January in Tarragona (Spain) and has pretended to be an open space for debate and exchange between academia, administrations, economic actors and social organizations, with international participation. The Conferences were  organized by the Tarragona Centre for Environmental Law Studies, of the University Rovira i Virgili (www.cedat.cat) with the suport of the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Government of Catalonia.

In its first edition it has addressed the issue of climate change, in close collaboration with the Catalan Office of Climate Change and Maria Garcia from Ecologistas en Acción has participated as speaker with the presentation “Climate change and air pollution: a common challenge” at the closing session of the Congress entitled “Catalan strategy in front of the climate change”. The Parliament of Catalonia approved the climate change law on last July 27 (Diari Oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Núm. 7426 – 3.8.2017; https://www.boe.es/ccaa/dogc/2017/7426/f00001-00036.pdf).
