International CAPTOR Conference: Air pollution and citizen science

The aim of CAPTOR project is to increase awareness of citizens and stakeholders on air pollution issue, with a specific focus on tropospheric ozone; through a participative air monitoring activity and the increased awareness, the project will improve local and regional policies at both rural and urban level, in order to manage better the air quality issue and mitigate the pollution.

With these premises and looking at the future, the CAPTOR International Conference had the objective to discuss about the critical situation of air quality in Europe, to promote best practices and find shared solutions to change the cities in order to improve the life quality of their inhabitant.

The International Conference took place in Milano, the 14th and 15th November at the Sala Alessi – Palazzo Marino – City Hall.

Thanks to the high-level contribution of the speakers, we aimed at giving a strong signal to policy makers in concretely fighting air pollution for a sustainable urban model for the future.
